Meet Michael "By" Whiting

My family has lived in Apache County for five generations.  I'm known by many friends and colleages by my middle name, "By." I've lived in various parts of the county all of my life and appreciate the rural and cultural values offered in northeastern Arizona.  My personal and professional values will play an important role in how I conduct myself as your County Attorney.

  • Family Life and Deep Roots in Apache County
    I am a lifelong resident of Apache County. My father's side of the family (the Whitings) and my mother’s side (the Udalls) have been living in Apache County for five generations

  • Legal Experience and Education
    As a practicing lawyer, I am well versed in many aspects of criminal, civil and traditional Navajo law. My legal experience will serve me in delivering reasoned, sound advice to Apache County.

  • Community and Personal Interests
